Moritz Böttcher and Sören Henssler founded their studio böttcher+henssler 2007 in Berlin. They work in the product, interior and luminaire design sectors. Her clients include companies such as ANTA, Böwer, Normann Copenhagen, Scantex, Vertigo Bird and Zero.

In 2005, they received the iF product design award and the red dot design award in their studies. In 2010, it awarded the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies in Dublin the "this year's most promising and emerging design talents in Europe" prize "Europe 40 Under 40". In 2011 and 2012, they once again won the renowned red dot product design award. In 2013 they were awarded the red dot award "best of the best" and nominated for the German Design Award 2014. Her projects have been published internationally in books and magazines.

Moritz Böttcher, born in 1978, studied product design at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hanover and completed a series of internships, including at npk industrial design in the Netherlands. After graduating with a degree in cooperation with Dornbracht, he worked for npk industrial design in Hamburg and Barskidesign in Frankfurt am Main. Later he worked for Werner Aisslinger in Berlin from 2006 to 2008.

Sören Henssler, born in 1974, studied product design at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hanover and at the Politecnico di Milano. His projects have been awarded the red dot design award 2002, an acknowledgement at the Lucky Strike Junior Designer Award 2005 and the iF concept award 2006. Since his diploma in 2005, Sören Henssler has been working as a freelance designer in Berlin.
